Richard Dunsdon, representing the Midway Community Garden, received a cheque for $2,100 from the Midway Partnership Fund. The money is to help with the costs of the large greenhouse recently constructed. Says Dunsdon, this project enhances the purpose of the Garden by encouraging those already involved and others who would like to be. Local food supply and food security is a public concern today and the greenhouse will extend our growing season by two and a half months, benefitting participants and the community at large.
