Recreation - Overview

Midway offers a variety of recreational activities from hiking and biking in the great outdoors to hockey and skating in the local arena. Midway is a year-round recreation destination and offers something for all levels and interests of recreational enthusiasts.

Float, canoe, or swim in the beautiful Kettle River.

Come and enjoy a game of tennis at the regulation-size tennis courts. The tennis courts are located at the BCSS High School on Fifth Ave in Midway. For a key please call the Village Office at 250-449-2222.

If you’re a cyclist the Kettle Valley Railway right-of-way is now part of the Trans Canada Trail that serves as a multi-use recreational trail in the Midway area. Midway is “Mile 0” of the histroic Kettle Valley Railway. Travelling West of Midway will get you into what is normally called the heart of the KVR.

The arena, curling club, and local ski areas will keep you busy during the winter months. Hiking and biking, and golf will give you plenty of opportunities to enjoy the abundant sunshine and take in the breathtaking views of the area.
